Watching videos online has become a staple for many Internet users with some turning to the videos within search engine results first. Generations of TV-trained consumers have adopted a behavior of cho0sing a remote control over a book and passive watching versus active reading. This evolution seems to be mirrored by current trends on the World Wide Web. The question remains how companies such as YouTube and VEOH can utilize or steer these trends into a viable long-term business model.
